OKLAHOMA CITY – Oct. 18, 2022 – PRLog — Oklahoma Palliative & Hospice Care recognizes and appreciates those who have served our country and their families by working to continually provide access to quality care. The We Honor Veterans (WHV) program levels foster an obligation to provide the best quality of care to those who have served our country. Earning the third star, the Oklahoma Palliative & Hospice Care team has demonstrated the aptitude and resources required to support the patient when there are specific needs related to the veteran’s military service, combat experience, and/or other traumatic life events.

“We are proud to announce the addition of our third We Honor Veterans star,” said Jason Neill, MSW Executive Director. “Oklahoma Palliative & Hospice Care is blessed with a unique opportunity to provide care to our veteran population at their most vulnerable time. Our mission has always been to provide extraordinary care and we appreciate the chance to extend our gratitude to these men and women for their service.”

“Every patient on hospice deserves their specific needs addressed. Veterans are a special population with very specialized needs. Being a part of the “We Honor Veterans” program has allowed me and our staff to seek out information and continually educate ourselves and others about the end-of-life issues of veterans. As a social worker, WHV has helped me realize the availability of community resources to better address the needs of these patients and their families. It’s our pleasure to serve them. What we do is only a small thanks towards repaying them for their service to us and our country,” said Jenny Folsom, LCSW.
